Mossberg 835 Shotgun Winner!

FORDLAND—Fordland Clinic’s Rolling Raffle winner from the March drawing is Janette Smith, of Springfield. Janette was actually one of the builders of the demolition car that Ted Laughlin used at the clinic’s “Drive Through House” fundraiser last year. She attended out of her interest in the car. Wanting a souvenir t-shirt, she purchased $25 of raffle tickets.

When she received the phone call last week that she had won the Rolling Raffle drawing at Fordland Clinic, it took her some time to even remember where she had bought tickets! After some thought, she remembered that she had purchased them at a booth a year ago February at that interesting event!

It took very little time, however, for her to look over the website listing of prizes to decide that she wanted the shotgun, our featured prize for this quarter, at a value of $399. Donated by Cooleys Main Street Convenience Store in Fordland, the shotgun was displayed at the Rifleman on Marshfield’s square.

Janette came to Marshfield to pick up the shotgun. She had never dreamed of

having a shotgun but decided she’d let her father take her out to the shooting range, and then she would give it to him. Her father and mother came along to pick it up and fill out the registration and paperwork.

Congratulations to Janette Smith for winning our most recent rolling raffle! A big THANK YOU to David Cooley, Main Street Convenience store owner in Fordland, who donated the shotgun. Their store also sold a number of raffle tickets for this desirable item. Riflemans in Marshfield did a good job of displaying the shotgun and probably sold the greatest number of tickets.
