Free Breast & Cervical Exams
Fordland Clinic participates in the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Show Me Healthy Women (SMHW) Program. SMHW provides access to cancer screenings for early detection of breast and cervical cancer to age and income eligible Missouri women.  If cancer is detected through the program, most women are eligible for a special type of Medicaid for treatment.
Through SMHW, women age 50 - 64 are eligible for an annual clinical breast exam, pap, pelvic, and mammogram.  Women age 35 - 49 years can receive screenings through the program when no other funding source is available.  This includes a pap, pelvic and clinic breast exam.  If something is found on exam that is suspicious for cancer, the program provides the woman a free diagnostic workup.
