Volunteer Opportunities
Here at Fordland Clinic we welcome motivated volunteers who are
interested in assisting us to fulfill our mission ~ To improve the health
of area residents.

Here are examples of volunteer positions at the clinic:

Community Outreach Computer literate person to manage our Patient
Assistance Program (get free medications for people in need).

Rolling Raffle Assistant ~ assist with start up and ongoing raffle.

Vaccine for Children Coordinator for inventory, collect information for
monthly billing, check record keeping.

Graphic Design Person  Ad layouts Design display (for fair?s, apple
festival, Charity auction etc.

Web Site Monitor  Check for out of date links, design new pages

General Handyman
Odd jobs, minor repairs and improvements.  Very part time at the clinic. Our handyman in the past has also worked for R&M Leasing LLC with rehab and repairs on rental units.

Charity Golf Championship  Marshal Captain, sub captain for each day,
24+ working volunteer marshals, community outreach, sponsor for event,
ad page for clinic, find items for charity auction.
At Highland Springs for the Price Cutter Charity Golf Championship volunteers receive free admission to all of the region's Pro-AM events as well as the championship at Highland Springs, a shirt, cap or visor plus more items, meals while working and admission to many social events associated with the Championship including food and drinks at the Benefit Auction.  Those working at least 2 shifts receive a free round of golf or dinner at the Tower Club.  This volunteer 'package' is free to the first 20 volunteers who agree to work 2 or more 1/2 day shifts on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday afternoon. Those working Saturday AM or Sunday AM or PM need to work 3 half day shifts in order to receive the volunteer package at no cost. There are a limited number of positions available for $40 to anyone willing to work at least one shift for the clinic. We need a Marshal Captain for each of the 4 days (you greet incoming volunteers, make sure everyone gets to their work station and relieve everyone else for lunch etc), and 7 or 8 marshals for each shift at the 8th hole.
Also needed is someone to obtain donated items for the benefit auction, someone to beat the bushes and find a sponsor for the 8th hole, someone to find a sponsor for the clinic page ad.

Midwinter Event !  Support our mid-winter event held the same day as Give Kids a Smile  See Ted drive through a house (see #2 on the Raffle page)
Have your organization participate in this event (no charge, just come up with a booth (free space) fund raising idea for your organization, or activity to attract additional media attention to this event.  We ask that all organizations raising their own funds and using donated space ear mark a portion of their proceed for donation to our children’s dental program

Flower beds Around clinic (plant, weed, trim etc.) and under the sign at
Barton and Main.

Assistant for paperwork & with children when our hygienist does outreach
work in schools, headstart, daycare and community events.

Research Assistants (a retired research librarian would be great) Assist
with data collection for grants. Assist with community data, identify
every local day care center, identify and make contact for every public
function where the clinic should have a presence or educational booth,
identify all community groups in Webster, with contact person, for our
director to make presentations.

Chart room maintenance Make new charts, chart audits, check correct
filing. Each year all charts need to be checked, for missed items, for
correctness with computer info, for up to date forms etc.

General office assistant, we can use extra help on dental days and
holidays.
