Dr. Mark Stocks, Psy. D.
Dr. Stocks has been a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Springfield Missouri since 1984. He has held faculty positions at Evangel University where he was the Director of the Counseling Center and Forest Institute of Professional Psychology where he was also Director of Resident Training. He has had former clinical practices at Burrell Center, St John’s Behavioral Health, Family Care of Springfield and his own practice (Christian Counseling Services). He is a graduate of Evangel University, Youngstown State University and Biola University where he received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He is a Viet Nam veteran and has worked with Viet Nam veterans groups and individuals to enable their adjustment.
He is presently interested in working with depressed and anxiety
disorders in adults, couples and families. He is also interested in
working with Post Traumatic Disorders including military veterans.
He has a particular interest in working with individuals who are
highly sensitive to religious/spiritual issues over their life span.
Dr. Stocks is a member of the American Psychological Association, National Register of Health Care Providers in Psychology, Missouri Psychological Association and is a certified Health Services Provider.
